This site is for all of you out there in Minnesota looking for information on Powered Parachutes.
Currently there is only one PPC CFI in this state. We hope to change that very soon.
The other issue is there is no DPE or designated pilot Examiner in this state. The closest is about 300 miles away in Wisconsin.
What we are looking to do is make it easier for those who want to fly a PPC in Minnesota to get their FAA certificates without having to travels many times many miles.
We also want to promote our sport in Minnesota on a positive nature. It will only take one incident with an unlicensed PPC to change to publics image of us.
Having said all of that we need your help. We know there are about 150 PPCs of various varieties in Minnesota. We also know there are about 36 registered, yet there are only 16 pilots licensed to fly. Even if all of the licensed one owned two planes some one out there needs to be licensed.
We also would like to have a list ready of airports/ landing strips that allow or are friendly to PPCs.
